In an era where technology continuously reshapes the human experience, my work explores the convergence of psychedelics, artificial intelligence, and virtual reality. This conceptual project envisions a future where AI serves not as a tool for creation but as a creator itself—crafting immersive, psychedelic environments that dissolve the boundaries of the real and the artificial.
At its core, this project asks: What happens when we surrender our agency to an AI? Much like the unpredictable journey of a psychoactive substance, these virtual experiences are not controlled by the user but dictated by the AI’s interpretation of altered states of consciousness. The result is an encounter with the unknown—an exploration of reality’s malleability where users become travelers through an algorithmic imagination.
The work pushes against the comfort of predictability and questions our reliance on control. By paralleling the disorienting yet profound nature of drug-induced trips, the project challenges users to reflect on their relationship with technology, perception, and self. What does it mean to have an experience generated by a machine? Can the synthetic evoke the transcendental?
Through the lens of virtual reality, this project invites participants to consider the ethics of ceding authority to AI in deeply personal experiences. It probes the emotional and philosophical implications of an era where technology becomes a partner in shaping human consciousness.
In blurring the lines between biology and computation, my work seeks to redefine the psychedelic experience for a world increasingly mediated by the digital. It is an exploration not only of what is possible but of what it means to be human in the age of virtuality.
